FIT a great success, yet…”2015 is post FIT Year 1”

The desirable PV, self-supporting economy, and remote monitoring of the restraining of the entire amount of electrical output

In spite of showing a firm increase, as of the autumn, 2014 was shaken up by the problem of connecting to the power grids of the electric power companies. Amidst this, there is a reaction bordering on panic going around that the new power generation business might not be connected to the power grid. There are numerous items not yet settled down in the FIT system which got underway in July of 2012. One of these involves the fees imposed if the approximate 70GW which currently have obtained authorization as a facility were all to go into operation. Another involves the handling of the items discarded upon securing of the purchasing rights. Finally there is the system for setting prices in the case of an increase in facilities after power generation systems go into operation. This was indeed a year in which a lot of issues with fuzzy areas appeared. We had associations such as the Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association, Photovoltaic Power Generation Technology Research Association, and the independent administration organization called the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology summarize the PV industry in 2014. At the same time we had them give their outlook for 2015.
