Since last year, the problem of output control raining down on the photovoltaic business has been meandering along. When the electric power companies judge that the amount of renewable energy accepted is greater than the demand and that the stability of regular electricity is breaking down, the output of the solar and wind driven power generation facilities can be controlled. Since January of this year, the applicable rules have broadened in range. Where previously the output was controlled in terms of days with an upper limit of 30 days, now the upper limit is set in hours, with 360 hours being the limit now. In addition to this, in some areas, unlimited adjusted output control is being implemented, putting companies selling electric power in a tight spot.
