The time for the revision of the buying price has come for this year too. There is no end to the rumors about the yen per kW rate, but rumors in the end result are just rumors. The Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) has stated, "There is no basis for the rumors. Regarding the buying price, the Calculation Committee sets conditions such as for procuring and makes a proposal based on the latest market trends." In other words, leaving rumors aside, a preliminary calculation can be made to some extent based on the latest trends. The preliminary calculation is then made regarding the buying price for home use when the information for the provisional calculation is all set out.


We gathered information concerning the status of 4,699 PV power stations effectively "out in the cold"
Of these, for 1,643 power stations authorization could be cancelled, for a total of 7.4GW
METI, as of mid September of last year, has been getting in reports from 4,699 PV power stations of over 400kW. As of December, in spite of the fact that these stations had obtained authorization for facilities, they had still not begun operation. The results of a tabulation showed that 1,643 stations, totaling 7.4GW could very well see their authorization cancelled.
